prayer request and update

Hello Everyone!

This is an update letting everyone know about our craziness these past couple of days. Daniel did graduate from OCS making great grades, and we are all extremely proud of him, considering they had a 50 (something) percent drop rate.
Unfortunatley Daniel was not able to accept his commission because the Marine Corp removed their offer to be a Pilot Contract. After 5+ years of hard work to be a pilot he decided that he needed to persue that goal. We have no hard feeling towards the Marine Corps they have treated Daniel well in his 7+ years of service but for now, his career as a Marine Corps Officer is on hold.
It was a very hard decision and we are praying that the Lord's will is done, and that he will open up new doors for Daniel and I. Daniel have been working towards this goal for some years now and it is very confusing at times what exactly the Lord is trying to show us in all of this. But, we do know that God is in control, and that he will work everything for our good in the end. Please be praying for us that God will bless us with wisdom, guidance and patience over the next few weeks as we will need to make more decisions about our future and especially Daniel's career options. Love to you all!

These are for Daniel mostly...some random shots throughout the week....
At Brian and Linde's Danny was Jake's little shadow...they really got along well and it was so much fun!

Here was at Mom's house yesterday....since we spent the last two nights there on a whim, Danny ran out of clothes and was wearing Will's, I thought he looked so cute, he'd been playing in the sand for a couple of hours and came in for a drink. He was filthy and soon after had to be put down for a nap because he was so tired, although it was unusually early for his nap time. Hasn't he grown a lot Honey?!

My new haircut....once again the self portrait thing isn't great...but you get the idea.

Thanksgiving!

Here were a few pictures from our Thanksgiving Day. Since some of my Mom's little boys were sick, we ended up not going to Tallahassee to see all my Dad's family there. We instead ended up at my Mom's house for the day, she was able to cook all day on Wednesday and you would never have thought she hadn't prepared all week for this feast. It was a lot of fun! I missed Daniel all day, but I just kept telling myself at least I'll have him for Christmas!!!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Happy Thanksgiving!
I pray that all of you have great Thanksgiving Day festivities, and remember all the things that you have to be grateful for this year!
I was so sad that we weren't going to be able to be together during Thanksgiving. I remembered that although we can't be together the Lord is going to bring us back together soon! Instead of dwelling on the things I don't like, I decided to dwell on all the things I am thankful for! :-)
My wonderful Husband, whom I love and respect and can't wait to see next week!

My son, who smiles make me glad to be a Mom

I am also grateful for my family and friends who have been a huge comfort to me especially these last few months. I am also grateful for the little girl that God is growing inside me! I am so happy to be a Mom twice blessed!

Camping and other stuff!

The family went to Stone Mountain ( in Georgia) for a camping trip and invited me to go along. I got all my post backwards, but, in the end it'll make sense.
This was a hike the whole family went on. It was short, only about 2 miles, and was a lot of fun. It was supposed to be a bird watching trail, but we didn't see a single bird. We had fun walking it though!

The Quarry

We visited an old Quarry right across the street from the Mill. That was pretty amazing looking at it. The pictures don't do it justice.

I got such a kick out of Danny walking along with one hand in his pocket

It's his new thing, and he does it everywhere!

Grist Mill

One day we visited an old Grist Mill. It was pretty cool! The boys had fun walking all along the little waterfalls. It was great!

Of course I didn't know this was being taken...but that's about what I looked like the whole time we were there...a vagabond!

The mill and waterfall

Danny loved watching it!

The whole family went on this expedition

Zach watching everything

That made me nervous to cross over on the stepping stones...it wasn't a very long drop but enough that it would really hurt!

Hiking

We went on a super long hike one day...I was exhausted when we got back! We hiked all the way around this beautiful lake...it was gorgeous! That was one of the best days we had while there!

I couldn't help but take pictures of everything! It was so gorgeous!

We found an old fireplace just sitting out in the middle of nowhere...so of course the boys wanted pictures taken!

Camping Trip

Our camping trip, while we had some fun, it didn't turn out QUITE like we planned it.
The weather was supposed to be wonderful sunny, and cool. Once we arrived at Stone Mountain however, the forecast had changed, and it was supposed to be stormy and COLD as all get out! So we decided to stick it out for as long as we could. We made some good memories and some REALLY funny ones.
I ended up coming home with some of the girls 2 days early because of a stomach flu! That was NOT fun! Let's just say, I'd like to try again another day. Because the mountain was gorgeous, and being with the family was so fun!
